If your pool is indoors or does not otherwise benefit from solar gain then a good quality heat retention cover is essential.

Most swimming pools in the UK  are heated with a conventional heating system, such as gas, oil or eletricity. Unless you use a good quality heat retention cover when the pool is not in use, the warm water will evaporate and as much as 90 percent of the pool heat will be lost, particularly at night.

There are various types of pool covers available in today’s market. Solar covers are fantastic for drawing solar energy from the sun and transmitting that energy into your pool, but what about pools which are indoor or pools which are shaded and cannot directly benefit from solar gain? These pools need to be covered with a good heat retention cover when not in use.
